Joe Sestak's Victory Party was great! The highlight, of course, was his acceptance/thank you speech. Joe gave a heartfelt, heartwarming speech in which he thanked everyone who had a part in helping the campaign, introduced his siblings, who shared the stage with him and Susan, and gave special tribute to his father, former Navy Captain Joseph Sestak, who was Joe's inspiration to attend the Naval Academy. Joe called for an end to partisanship and asked that we, as Americans, not Democrats, Republicans or Independents, move forward in a spirit of cooperation to work on programs that this country needs to assure our national security. It was a great night!
I'm a life-long Delco Dem, I've been doing a lot of volunteer work for the Sestak campaign since at least May, and I've been reading this blog for months, though this is my first post. Joe's victory has restored some of my faith in the democratic process and I'm really looking forward to having a Congressman we can truly be proud of. This has been a fantastic blog--great reporting and very interesting comments--and I really appreciate the work by David and all who contributed.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I often told the anoymous Weldon bloggers I was entertaining the Sestak troops on purpose and they were helping inadvertently. :-)
