Sestak Meets the Press

Joe will be the only sitting member of Congress to participate in Tim Russert's panel tomorrow, March 18. The entire show will be dedicated to marking the fourth anniversary of the Iraq War.

The other panel members will include: Former House Majority Leader Tom Delay (R-Texas); Former Representative Tom Andrews (D-Maine); and neocon stalwart Richard Perle.

Let's hope someone asks Sestak why American citizens should trust him on issues of national security when he insists on helping a group - CAIR - with repeated and verifiable links to terrorism (the Holy Land Foundation, Hamas, the Islamic Association of Palestine, Sami al-Sarian, etc.)raise money?

Joe was eloquent and on-point - along with former Rep Andrews - as usual. Oh, and ZF, it is so nice to see the Reich-wingers all up in arms about CAIR and showing their true colors re: freedom of speech, expression, and assembly. What a pathetic bunch you all are.

zf-
Didn't you vent enough of your anti-CAIR rhetoric over at the AboveAverageJane blog? Now, you feel the need to come over here and post in a non-CAIR topic? Didn't I kick your butt enough over there that you feel the need for some more abuse?

Everyone else-
Sticking with the actual topic, Sestak on Meet the Press, I thought Joe acquitted himself well. I liked how he stood up to the notorious
Tom Delay's hypocrisy about what constitutes support of the troops. Delay claimed that once we are at war, debate ends and everyone should support the President's policies without question. Sestak pointed out Delay's own attempts to undermine Clinton during the conflict in Bosnia. Sestak, citing his own experience with troops in combat, pointed out that the troops appreciate that there is debate.
