Weldon redux...too much irony to skip

Bill Bender, who moved on from the Delco Times to the Philly Daily News, is covering Delaware County. His recent article, Corruption job for Weldon firm, talks about how Weldon's new employer,

Defense Solutions, an Exton-based project-management firm, announced yesterday that it had landed a contract with the Bashundhara Group to assist the corporate conglomerate in "ridding itself of even the hint of corruption and illegal business practices."
Well, if they do end up assigning Weldon to this project, at least he'll know what to look for!

Also included is an update on the FBI investigation:

Meanwhile, Weldon's fate remains unknown, nearly eight months after FBI agents raided the homes and business office of his daughter and close political ally. The probe is reportedly focused on whether Weldon helped the pair obtain foreign lobbying contracts.
An FBI spokeswoman said yesterday that the investigation is ongoing, but declined to elaborate.
Just for kicks, we'll keep our eyes on our old pal Weldon and his friends and family.

Actually, Weldon is well suited for helping a company in "ridding itself of even the hint of corruption and illegal business practices."

Note: it's not getting rid of corruption, just the HINT of it.

Translation: How can we cover up hints of existing and future corruption?

1) Testimonials: Get benefactors to mutually praise each other. "To me, he's an absolute straight shooter," Ringgold, a retired Army colonel, said of Weldon, who became Defense Solutions' chief strategic officer in February.
Gosh, after that, how could we ever have doubted Weldon's integrity?
See how it works, kids?

2) Don't keep paper copies in your house or offices. (um... Raids on Sexton, Weldon and North America Inc. and it's lawyers.)

3) Don't name a company "Solutions" if it is really a source of "Problems".

4) Talk in opposites in case your phones are tapped.
"Just calling to tell you about that $50,000 bribe that we didn't take and how your half is not in an envelope under your porch. By the way, on a completely unrelated subject, guess who won the contract..."

See, no admission of wrong-doing here!

5) If you funnel money/contracts to your daughters, wait until they have taken their married names, so they don't match your last name. (Unless, your name is "Smith" and people might reasonably assume matching names are a coincidence.)

Gee, if Bashundhara Group reads this blog they could save themselves a lot of money.

I wonder what they will think of the judgement of Defense Solutions after the courts issue their final judgement of Curt Weldon?
