Joe vs The Sidekick?
From Today's Daily News:
GOP delays nominations
The Delaware County Republican Party's nomination convention has been postponed from today until next Tuesday, putting off the selection of candidates for the 7th Congressional District and other races.
The party is considering nominating W. Craig Williams, an assistant U.S. attorney working under U.S. Attorney Pat Meehan in Philadelphia, to run against Democratic U.S. Rep. Joe Sestak, according to party sources.
So, if true, the GOP scramble to "duel" Sestak has resulted in the GOP's primary dueler failing to show up and leaving his "second" to take the bullet.
The "W" stands for "Wendell". Wendell Williams does satisfy one of the comic book staples of having names with alliteration. (Lex Luthor, Peter Parker, Lois Lane, etc.)

Does it seem ODD to anyone else that Wendell Craig Williams has the same initials as Wayne Curtis Weldon? Is that a sign of subconsciously wishing for the former W.C.W. or just a completely meaningless coincidence?
It's funny that you should mention that. I was having the exact same conversation a few days ago.
My take on it is that they need the same initials because they are carrying around the same old GOP baggage.
Good to see Puppio is back at work for another congressional campaign. So McNichol now works for Greenlee partners, huh? very interesting.
Just wondering -- after reading WCW's bio on his website, how long has he actually lived here? I see North Carolina, Florida, Colorado -- all sorts of places he's been. But my best guess is that he's only been around here for, what, about five years?
I also notice there's nothing at all about where he grew up or what he did before going to Duke. I'm guessing that whatever he did, it wasn't around here.
Kinda funny, isn't it, coming from the party that slobbered all over themselves about Joe being a "carpetbagger" last time. Heh.
hang in there curt, although i am from conn, ahem, misguided leiberman's state, i hope win in your bid for another term. I myself , and i am sure real patriots who think there are some inconsistences in the 9-11 investigation, are for honest politicians like yourself. thanks for your patriotism, frank c
